Re: Dimmy vs Dumby: who's right? Or, who is more right? :o)

This is not a technical thread at all — it's a flame war on comp.databases.informix. A brief aside suggests small/medium businesses outsource IT decisions, so ISV developers are a good DBMS marketing target, but the rest is name-calling between pseudonymous posters ('Splintter', 'InDeep', 'Obnoxio The Clown') over who has more Informix/IBM experience, posting under real names versus aliases, with threats about IBM employment agreements and lawsuits. No technical problem is posed and no resolution is recorded.

Having diverted a few kiloneurons to your thesis for a few nanoseconds, I am of the opinion that most SMB's pay 3rd parties to do their IT thinking for them. So developers at ISVs are probably a good target for DBMS marketing. -- RGB

Funny how posters go on, and on, and on. If they just listen to clown, they learn. Between me and clown, our years with Informix/IBM blow out Segel...he 1 year at Informix, and I think 4 year at IBM. Not even add up to double-digits. Guess he never see Informix sabattical given after 5 year. Dimmy? Dumby? Now THAT made me laugh much. I abhor all writer to use new names for Mike Segel and Tim Schaefer on forward. Funny how all know who they are, yet they hide behind silly names. I look in Wiki, and under "Integrity" it read: "man who uses real name for posting on CDI." And yes - my real name Splintter. My parent couldn't read nor spell, but I have laptop! Splintter

Hey splintter who are YOU? Can you answer that question? Seems like your imitation of an asshole that can't write English is just the pot calling the kettle black.

I joined newsgroup because Dumby and Dimmy felt they have privilege to dominate all postings, EVEN without enough experience with either Informix or IBM to support ridiculous, mind-numbing theories on how Informix do in industry. Already proven Dumby's lack of experience - 1 year Informix, 4 year at IBM. But Dumby continue to write much, much, much. And then you amaze with proze of "Fuck off and die", and "Fucking Jackass" - that too funny. And neither have work enough to keep busy it seem since you always here. Glad I know who you are - if company has opening for tasteless, immature communicator, I contact you. If company want someone with technical skill and real knowledge of industry, I hire Clown. Yes - you and Dumby just been bested by a clown. Now THAT funny - no matter where you from. Splintter-This-Space-Left-Intentionally-Blank

You waste post after post where you could say something meaningful and you end up saying nothing. You're a big nothing. Are you an IBM employee? Are you somebody from the IIUG?
Boy ... you ask a simple question ... :o( -- Cheers, Obnoxio the Clown http://obotheclown.blogspot.com

Coming from someone with such high level of INTEGRITY, it doesn't mean so much. Come on, everyone now, say "Fuck off and die!". Then you just like Dimmy (that would be Tim Schaefer for those doing job interviews), and be able to tell others of their lesser character quality. And if can't say that, try "Fucking Jackass" - that very impressive too. Me have idea - you could write book for all of us "cowards." You could call it "Dimmy for Dummies!" Chapter 1 - Use of English-like Language LMAO!! (now that make me laugh, many time). Splintter-Wanna-Be-Like-Dimmy
Sphincter, This is my last response to you. FWIW Ravi betrayed my trust, and that's why I railed on him. If somebody you knew compromised your trust you too would be pretty pissed off, especially if you work at IBM and are currently posting here and violating your IBM employment agreement. If you are a US Citizen and employed by IBM I can find out who you are and get you not only fired, but sued for slander and a whole lot more. I hope you don't work for IBM, it will not go good for you. Have a nice day! -ID-
