The LOGSIZE and LOGFILES parameters in my configuration file were changed. They were changed by someone else prior to my arrival. I wanted to increase the number of log files, and change the size of the existing logs. The same page you mentioned below states an option to add new log files and drop the old ones. In other words, I did read the manual, but if I was not clear, I apologize.
