Dave is quite right the world will end, or at least your database will! I am confused as to your requirement as I would have thought that one of the reasons for two servers would be to HIDE the Development changes from Production. If, what you really require is to share TABLES (rather than CHUNKS) then Informix have a little product called Informix-Star which would allow you to do just that (read-only at 4.x, read/write at 5.0). Maybe they'll let you trade in your superfluous OnLine license!!! (PS If you really don't need to protect production from development, why have two servers at all???) graeme -- Disclaimer: The author's opinions are his own, and not necessarily those of Pyramid Technology Ltd. or Pyramid Technology Inc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- -m------- Graeme Sargent Voice: +44 (0)252 373035 ---mmm----- Senior Database Consultant Fax : +44 (0)252 373135 -----mmmmm--- Pyramid Technology Ltd.
