Access 97 and Informix Online

Hi, I'm using Access as frontend for informix online.Now, I have some = questions: I have Access 97, Informix Online 7.12 and I-CLI 2.5. I can = connect to my informix tables but have some strange problems. a.) The informix datatypes are different from the access ones: - SERIAL becomes an Access NUMBER - DECIMAL becomes a string Is this correct? How do I get the same (or at least similar data types) = with access? b.) When I try to change the sort order I get an error -309 from my odbc = driver (I-CLI, Intersolv). The Group By field should also be in the = SELECT statement. But changing the sort order of an indexed field works = correct. Why can't I change the sort order of an unindexed field without = the odbc error? Many thanks for your help! cu Reiner (munich, germany)
