Re: Informix 7.12 on K410 HP/UX 10.01

We are running a large (80+ gig) datawarehouse on: HP 9000/K400 HP UX 10.01 Informix Online 7.11 We have had good luck - this is a fast machine!!! HP UX 10.1 is supposed to fix some bugs in 10.01, and should be out soon...but generally the system has been stable. Spend alot of time tuning the kernel and tuning the Informix engine. We had alot of shared memory issues and buffer issues with the engine. Our UNIX buffers show 100% utilized at the moment which indicates the kernel is still set too small, but we are getting very good performance at the moment. ex --- 1.3 million record table query (fairly complex) executes in about 5 seconds...Same query took 4.5 hours on our HP9000/755 pilot/test box. Have fun - this box is a mainframe killer.
