Bonjour Alain, If you want to develop a client/server application for informix, you can use either ODBC or ESQL (there's also the the DMI library, but I've never used it). If you want to use ODBC, the first thing is to download the ODBC SDK from a Microsoft site. You'll find some great tools in this to help you in your development process. You'll also need an ODBC driver... Depending on your Informix database product, an Informix (or Intersolv) driver is shipped with it. OTOH, ESQL stands for Embedded SQL. So it means that you'll have to pre-compile your code if you use this method. Hope this helps, Bonne chance!
