We have Intersolv ODBC driver BTW

[SNIP] RTFineM is always a useful exercise: See the Administrator's Guide p 33-57 for the DBSERVERNAME connection the default is equivalent to: NETTYPE <whatever protocol>,1,50,CPU For any DBSERVERALIASES: NETTYPE <whatever protocol>,1,50,NET Art S. Kagel
Good advice (again) Art! Makund, You REALLY need to read the Database Administrator's guide once through, then read it again and (slowly) apply and track the results of the changes you make. Trust me, you'l learn a lot about the server using this method. As far as your original question goes, you need to set the NETTYPE in the onconfig file, after you read Art's suggestion you'll see why and how. Also, keep a copy of the onconfig file you posted with your question for posterity, review it a year from now and you'll realize how far you've progressed. Kevin Belanger Art S.
