Need help with isql and TEXT data type

We use Continuus/CM to manage our software. Continuus uses Informix (5.02.UC7) as its database. I can access the database tables using isql. I don't have ESQL/C. I would like to access some tables that have data stored as TEXT types. I can't use LIKE or = to select the text in the TEXT data fields. However, that really isn't my requirement. Ideally, I would like to be able to compare two TEXT fields to see if they are equal or not. If that isn't possible, if I could output the table to a file and then work on that, that would be acceptable also. My SQL is rusty (but improving) and I don't have access to any Informix manuals (since the engine is part of the Continuus product, not standalone). I know this is stretching things a bit but any suggestions would be helpful. Even if it is to say that I can't do what I am trying to do. -- Eric M.
