Severe level 0 archive problem

We are running 5.03uc4 of Online with several patches. We never had any problems with archives before (2 years). We rebuilt several large indexes over the last few weeks to get rid of some corruption and severe performance problems. We did an archive level 0 two weeks ago which we had to kill because page cleaners were dying one after another. The next week we tried it again and found that the LRU queues were filling up at the rate of about 120 per second even though no database updates were going on. This happened on the 13th out of 54 chunks. We let the archive finish out v-e-r-y slowly. We tried it again this week and the same thing happened. We have a case open and will be trying to run traces with support on Monday. This doesnt happen on level 1 and 2 archives. Anyone ever seen this or have an idea what might be going on? Thanks, Ray
