I am new with the ISQL tool (7.20). I am trying to create a user-menu with an option for quiting out to the shell prompt on a Solaris OS. Can this be done?

In either of two ways. The built-in way is the hidden '!' option which allows you to launch a more or less arbitrary command. If you still want an explicit option, then use a 'P' (program) type menu option, and specify an appropriate shell as the command, possibly with the -i (interactive) option. Normally, the question is "How do I stop people getting at the shell", which is much harder to answer satisfactorily. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v0.60 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
