Migrate BLOBs From 5.x to 7.3 ?

Hi, I have an Online 5.03 Database with BLOB data. Total size above 70G. Need to migrate to new platform (SUN) running IDS 7.3 and need help on best method to move data to new platform. Can I run OL5.03 dbexport from my current platform (Sequent S2000/250) and then run 7.3 import on SUN ? Well this work ? We still in the planning stage and want to avoid surprises during implementations. TIA

It will work fine for BYTE columns. However there was a problem with exporting TEXT columns. Newlines were not quoted and so confused the dbimport/import which would complain about incorrect number of columns. You can use my dbcopy to copy the data directly from engine to engine.
