JDBC woes with Informix

Informix has been unable to provide any answers, so I'm wondering if any else has any insights on a problem with their type 4 JDBC driver. I'm working with some relatively simple tables, save for one with a byte column. Queries are nothing to wild either. But every so often, I'm getting a SQLException: java.sql.SQLException: System or internal error Resource temporarily unavailable at com.informix.util.IfxErrMsg.getSQLException(IfxErrMsg.java) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqli.receiveMessage(IfxSqli.java) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxSqli.executeStatementQuery(IfxSqli.java) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxResultSet.executeQuery(IfxResultSet.java) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxStatement.executeQueryImpl(IfxStatement.java) at com.informix.jdbc.IfxStatement.executeQuery(IfxStatement.java) The error code: ErrorCode: -79716 Informix told me (since it's beyond the range of documented error messages) that it's a Java problem.
