Synonym
Posted in 1995
I had never used a synonym until recently. As part of my backup
routine I perform a integrity checks using/resulting in:
STUDENT - CHECK TABLE INDEXES AND ROWIDS IN INDEX; CHECK TBLSPACE DATA

tbcheck -cI -cD -q student
WARNING:No syscolauth records found.
ISAM error: no record found.ERROR: No table found for syssynonyms record.

GRADSCH - CHECK TABLE INDEXES AND ROWIDS IN INDEX; CHECK TBLSPACE DATA

As you can see, I have some problems. My immediate concern is the
messages resulting from checking the 'student' database. These did
not occur until I had created a synonym in the 'student' database
that referred to a table in the 'gradsch' database.
The perform screen works fine that uses the synonym to do a lookup
between the two databases.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks
Dick
