Need Help with UPPER function in Informix V7.24

Hi All, We have multiple Informix instances some are on v7.31 and some are on v7.24. We are in process of migrating v7.24 to v7.31. Following query works fine in v7.31 but not in v7.24 because the UPPER function is not in v7.24. SELECT * FROM BORROWER WHERE UPPER(LAST_NAME) ='BROWN' Is any one have idea how I can make this work in v7.24? I wrote 2 different version for 7.24 using SPL. They are in the IUG archive somewhere.
