AIX & OnLine 7.X SPL Performance

We currently run OnLine 5.X under AIX 3.2.5. We have tried OnLine 7.11, but there is a bug in the Stored Procedure Language which causes them to be VERY VERY slow... We want to move to AIX 4.1.4, but our 4.X tools are not fully supported there (eg. ESQL/C is only available in 5.X). Is anyone running AIX 4.1.4 and OnLine 7.X and NOT have a problem with Stored Procedures performance?
