-457 Viewpoint Pro only?

Has anybody experienced "-457 Database server terminated unexpectedly" when attempting to start Viewpoint-Pro 2.1? I have no problems using NewEra 2.00.WC1. I can "ilogin" OK. I can use ODBC connections just fine. *Only* ViewPoint-Pro 2.1 barfs badly. ViewPoint-Pro 2.0 (and the associated I-Net on the NewEra 1.1 CD) worked fine. Anybody been down this track before? HELP!
