Any tuneable parameters for informix/unix

David, This is a good machine and should be giving high performance. I think before looking at the OS I would be making sure that the engine is prperly tuned first. Follow the Informix instruction manual for this and make sure that all required environment variables are set up If you feel that the problem is still with the system then take a look at /usr/adm/syslog to see if there are any strange messages Addtionally if you have /etc/crash available run this and check the streams output with strstat Only after careful consideration alter the OS kernel parameters nd remember that what you are altering will affect the entire system perhaps reducing the amount of available RAM If you would like a little more help feel free to mail me direct Good luck !! ================================================================ Terry Boyland :^{}) Proverb: Once a king always a king But once a knight is enough !
