IWUC 95 last-minute details
Posted in 1995
Here are some last-minute items related to the Informix conference. Everyone who sent a request to be added to the invitation list for the Tuesday night User Group reception should have received an acknowledgement by e-mail shortly after June 9. The idea was that using that cut-off date would give Informix enough time to mail out the invitations. However, due to a problem at the printers, the invitations didn't come back in time to be sent through the mail. If you sent me a request and received an e-mail reply, but don't have a printed invitation, it will be waiting for you at the User Group Booth #133 in the exhibit hall. We will be announcing the formation of an International Informix Users Group and a new newsletter for the group called _Informix_User_News_. Earlier, Tom Bondur, the newsletter's editor, posted an excerpt from the first issue that gives a few more details. A number of people have been working for some time to get the International Group started. The discussions we have at the conference, and particularly in the User Group BOF session on Tuesday, will play a significant part in determining the direction of the group. If you're going to the conference, make a special effort to attend this session and voice your opinions.
