hi falks,
I wonder if anyone could help me in the matter:
IHAC who if every 5 minutes having the same online message:
listener-thread: err = -27001: oserr = 0: errstr = : Read error occurred
during connection attempt.
First I suggested to change the NETTYPE parameter to:
NETTYPE soctcp,1,50,CPU
After we made the following change:
NETTYPE soctcp,1,100,CPU
but the problem still exist.
this is the environment:
VMWARE Virtual machine
O.S.. Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition Service Pack 2
4 CPUs, 4Gb RAM, 1GB network
SQLHOST registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\\\SOFTWARE\\\\Informix\\\\SQLHOSTS\\\\ol_galicia112]
"HOST"="112SRVAP05"
"SERVICE"="turbo"
"PROTOCOL"="onsoctcp"
IDS version: 11.50.TC1

CPU VP's usually have too much overhead to be efficient for network
connections. Try this, instead:
NETTYPE soctcp,1,100,NET
If that doesn't fix it, post the rest of your onconfig.

When you say "every 5m" do you mean _exactly_ every 5m?
It can be some kind of monitoring tool, or port tester. Usually I'd expect
an error like -404 (or similar), but I think it can also cause this one.
Regards.
