IMHO if the input array is that big that you require a top/bottom feature, you may be better of using a list manager such as is provided in the Power-4gl toolkit. Using a list manager has the advantage of updating each row as the user enters or changes them instead of at the end of a large input array session. Also features like home/end, search, filters and sort are possible. A simple implementation would look something like this: call listopen(...) -- set up window with title. call listsetup(...) -- set up select criteria and display the list. while true call listman() returning action,row -- handle user response. case action when "filter" if edit_criteria() then call listsetup(...) end if when "enter" if edit_row(row) then call listinit() end if when "insert" if edit_row("") then call listinit() end if when "delete" if delete_row(row) then call listinit() end if when "exit" exit while end case end while A free "light" version of Power-4gl is available with all source code, examples and without restrictions on use. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- John H.
