If you've got lots of separate disks, use them - logical logs on one, physical logs, busy tables on another and so on. This way OnLine can do sorted writes to all of them. If you don't take advantage of the benefit of having lots of disks, you're really losing out. Scatter everything across all the disks and you can really hammer performance.
