There are three possible configurations for the 5.x to 7.x relay module (see Informix Adminstrator's guide 4-22 & 4-37). onsoctcp communicates using TCP/IP socket connexions. We're using onsoctcp too, now - previously we used shared memory (onipcshm), but there's a bug - it gobbles up CPU and causes process switching like crazy. Brought the system to its knees. Beware !
