URGENT--Need to restore few tables from ontape

ENVIRONMENT: HP-UX 11.0 INFORMIX IDS7.31UD2R1 Backup utility : ONTAPE Is there a way we can just take few tables out of the database backup taking using ontape -r. We have the Level 0 backup. You can only restore entire instance first in order to retrieve the individual tables data. I think it's alleged that archecker can do this, but you're a brave man if you try it and a lucky man if it works.
