Informix odbc driver and unix odbc

Hi everyone, how can I configure informix odbc driver (3.81) to work under unix odbc on rh 7.3 linux? Looks like the odbc manager does not recognize the driver. It's unable to read the the driver's attributes to configure DSN using ODBCConfig, for example. I tried to configure odbcinst.ini and odbc.ini manually, but still using UNIX ODBC isql utility I am not able to connect ( I get ISQL Error: Could not SQLConnect. The log shows Exit: [SQL_INVALID_HANDLE] in SQLConnect.c). However if I use informix demo c programms supplied with the ODBC driver they work ok. The issue we're having is that our notes developers use unixODBC resources to connect to the database. We have Informix online 7.31 and unixODBC 2.2.5 and client SDK 281-UC1-Linux. Your help will be appreciated.
