4GL reference Manual page 7-141 point 16. "Do not execute PROMPT, INPUT,INPUT ARRAY statements within the BEFORE, AFTER, or ON KEY clauses of an input statement. You can however call a function that executes one of these statements." I guess it works on some platforms and not on others.
