Migration to Solaris 2.3

Has anyone migrated an Informix Online database to Solaris 2.3 from SunOS 4.1.x? We are about to do this. We need to support both 4.1.x clients and SunOS 5.3 clients while we transition our company department by department. Should we have any concerns about having to load both 4.1.x Informix binaries and 5.3 Informix binaries on one server? Should that server remain a 4.1.x server or can we upgrade the server? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
