error on initialization
I'm having a problem bringing up the IDS engine. Oninit -v output =
shows:
Opening primary chunks...succeeded
Opening mirror chunks...succeeded
Initializing dbspaces...succeeded
Validating chunks...succeeded
Initialize Async Log Flusher...succeeded
Forking btree cleaner...succeeded
Initializing DBSPACETEMP list
Checking database partition index...FAILED
oninit: Fatal error in shared memory initialization
What does this mean??????

Nevermind!!!!!
I figured it out - the engine was in recovery mode when it went down
so I had to bring it up in recovery mode (oninit -r) and put it in
online mode (onmode -m). All is well now.

If
you say initialisation, I'd think you should be trying to run oninit -iv
-- is this the first time you've brought the engine up? If you've brought it
up before, ignore what i just said.
