On the client side I have Access V2 runing on a Pentuim 90 with 16 meg ram. I'm also using the Intersolve drivers (the bought Q+E awhile back). With a correctly structured query against a table with aprox 1 million rows I receive acceptable proformance. ( will under a minute to return a few hundred rows) What version of ODBC drivers are you using? What is your client PC set up? What network connects the two machines? How does the system respond to the utiliy than Informix ships with there client software. (I'm at home and don't remember the name but it logs into your server and displays the sample database usually located in the root dbspace) Steve
