Unprivileged user getting full access (7.23 HP UX)

Problem: ------------- I have an Informix user who is granted a "Select" only access to all user tables via a role. - Through ODBC/MS-Access, it seems to work fine, the user is getting only Read access; - Through DBACCESS, he gets full update rights, which is totally unexpected ... The tables have no Public access at all; The user has a different unix uid/gid than any other user having rights on the database. Any idea to find out why the access restriction does not work under DBACCESS ? Thanks, Jean
