RE: Informix Roundup: 16 November 2009

OTC... re 4GL Dead for 6 years? My guess is that the author had been talking to IBM. Sounds like his rep must have been telling him to migrate to DB2. ;-P Ok since its 4GL, maybe they were trying to get them to migrate to EGL? You have to remember that a migration from IDS to DB2 counts as net new licenses for rev rec. Probably the same for EGL, but I don't know cause I've never seen an EGL sale. 8^O You know those IBM sales reps. ;-) -G > Date: Wed, 16 Sep 2009 23:31:21 +0100 > From: obnoxio@serendipita.com > To: informix-list@iiug.org > Subject: Informix Roundup: 16 November 2009 > > http://obotheclown.blogspot.com/2009/09/informix-roundup-16-september-2009.html > -- > Cheers, > Obnoxio The Clown > > http://obotheclown.blogspot.com > > > -- > This message has been scanned for viruses and > dangerous content by OpenProtect(http://www.openprotect.com), and is > believed to be clean. > > _______________________________________________ > Informix-list mailing list > Informix-list@iiug.org > http://www.iiug.org/mailman/listinfo/informix-list _________________________________________________________________ Your E-mail and More On-the-Go.
