Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Hello!
I am trying to connect to a informix-server with a java-application
using a free type 4 jdbc-driver from www.intraware.com
It doesn't work however. It loads the driver, but when it tries to
connect I get the exception:
SQLException: informix.api.remote.rmi.DBRemoteException:
Connection refused to host: [informixserver.domain.country:1533];
The server version is 7.22UC1, and the host is a Sun Ultra-1 running
SunOs 5.5.1.
Do I have to configure the host in some way so it listens on port 1533?
any help appreciated.
