I am not aware of any differences in the stack } conventions between 2.10 and 4.10. } } Would Jack or anyone else care to elaborate? } } Scott Ellard } Came from our misreading of the manual pages (2-69 4gl ref) where they pass they length of the string for the fun of it. We were under the impression that this was required. And in this case my pgm which called translate was passing this length - and for some strange reason translate wasn't handling it very well. I mistookenly changed the 'c' code instead of the 4gl code.
