initialising informix

I've got problems with oninit while trying to start IUS for the 1st time... - I've created a cooked chunk on INFORMIXDIR/data/chunk - Set these variables: setenv INFORMIXDIR /export/home/sw/informix setenv PATH ${INFORMIXDIR}/bin:${PATH} setenv ONCONFIG onconfig_roberto.std setenv INFORMIXTMP tmp/ setenv INFORMIXSERVER /export/home/sw/informix- configured my onconfig file with onmonitor - ran oninit, and had problems...... oninit: Fatal error in shared memory creation ok, I did it all, ran ipcs and found a shared memory allocation... ict2% ipcs IPC status from <running system> as of Tue Feb 24 15:40:20 1998 Message Queue facility not in system. Shared Memory: m 100 0x52564801 --rw-rw---- root informix Semaphore facility not in system. which belongs to root, so I removed it with ipcrm, then I tried again with oninit, and it re-created that shared memory segment, and it didn't succeed, check this: ict2% oninit -vi This action will initialize INFORMIX-Universal Server; any existing INFORMIX-Universal Server databases will NOT be accessible - Do you wish to continue (y/n)? y Checking group membership to determine server run modesucceeded Reading configuration file '/export/home/sw/informix/etc/onconfig_roberto.std'...succeeded Creating /INFORMIXTMP/.infxdirs ...
