Informix used icc (the Intel compiler) for some versions of SCO 4GL
(6.00 I think) and then changed to cc for a later version (6.02). The
release notes said it was because of bugs in the Intel compiler. The
effect was to cause library problems because the compiler front end
processors do something different with the arguments. It took me a day
of messing about in the front end trace to figure out what was going on.
If anyone is interested I'll look it up for you.
