Yes, you can do the transforms form log -> antilog but like you, my math is somewhat atrophied (putting it politely). Fortunately, with LOGN an EXP it isn't necessary. This one fooled me at first but it looks like select EXP(some_col) gives you e raised to the value. So no need for an antilog function. I played with converting LOG10 to log_e then doing this and all appears OK given the inevitable rounding errors with floating point arithmetic. This also enables the construction of a power function not limited to integer exponents and without adding a C function to the runner. Or cube roots etc. In fact, pretty much anything you could want. Having to insert into a temp table and then select back is a bit of a kludge but I can live with this. IMO a major leap forward for those of us that need more statistics than avg :) Peter Wiley
