RE: News Flash... Gumby has left the building...
Awww shucks, I couldn't pull any wool over your eyes. At least I'm sure a couple of you got a couple of chuckles out of it. But Hey! I'm sure I could do a better job than Bernie. ;-) BTW, for the GDC count, the actual number is much less.... If you only knew. ;-) But hey! What do I know? I may have said that post in jest, but you never do know what goes through the minds of IBM. Speaking of which. Did you see the article about IBM getting kicked out of the EPA? No joke. Its not an IM issue per se, but S&D is responsible for *all* IBM sales so it hurts all of IM along with the rest of IBM. And it goes to the point that while you can have good people in engineering doing their jobs, all that is wasted by some maroon in another division. -G Subject: RE: News Flash... Gumby has left the building... Yup. Thats right folks.Someone put enough lipstick on that blue pig to make it attractive enough that I would actually want to rejoin the IBM Borg collective! Not all of the details have worked out, but we've come to an understanding as we work out the salary, vacation, and what would my exact roll be within IM.I told them that I wanted to have all of my directs cross matrixed to me for the first year and then I'd hold their paper after that.I really can't say much more, although you do know those "PR pieces" where the question is about IDS but you get the DB2 slant? Rumor has it that the individual who shall remain nameless... [Bernie Spang] is being moved to a different roll within the beast.Anyone willing to take a bet to see how long I last this time? ;-)But hey! What do I know? :-)I'm not even sure what day it is.-G Get in touch in an instant.
