Sorry, just 'truss'.
Of course you could double check your nameserver configuration, but
I'm sure you have configured it right.
And I think I've seen a thread in informix group stating that
on some version of informix server (may be it was SE) on linux
they have to set in sqlhosts the fully qualified host name in third
field.
As a last resort, you can try it.
