i am using HDR replication. One post said i must manually create spaces on each secondary and primary separately versus automatic replication from primary to secondary. I take it O the Clown would not agree with this ? Am I being dumb and missing where this info is in the informix manuals? Thanks again... T

and rkusenet gave you the correct answer
make the chunks available with the correct permissions on both primary
and secondary, but add it to IDS using onspaces only on the primary
my comment related to what happens if you forget to set the perms, or
even make the device available on the secondary before you run onspaces
on the primary
