Desparate Need of INFORMIX help!

My problem is two-fold: I cannot get NSenterprise 3.5.1 to use INFORMIX. I keep getting [DBNOTFOUND] No access library for 'libLWinf.sl' yet I have the library in the SHLIB_PATH of my shell, and I even did a chatr on uxwdog to use SHLIB_PATH Second, since that wasn't working, we decided to go back to NSenterprise 2, since we'd had marginal success with it before. However, though the connections do work, it seems like everytime we do a if(!database.connected();) {database.connect(...........)} it will create a new connection, though there is one already open. How do I establish only one connection for the whole SSJS app and allow all client instances to use that one connection? project.lock() doesn't seem to do it. PLEASE: any suggestions to get us there would be very helpful. We've already exhausted our supportline with HP--they know nothing of databases, and the vendor we have Informix support with is not interested in anything but how it works with their own product!
