I have a situation here. I know a bit about UNIX but very little about Windows and PCs. I was handed some softwae to install and I end up with it all installed but no way to test it. Online 5.01, Istar 5.01 on Unix I-net 5.01 for windows on the PC what do I do next to get confirmation that the PC side is installed? How do I confirm that the Inet talks to the Unix I-Star? When I try using Ilogin in I-Net on the PC it gets me a winsock error: [WSANO_DATA] which says that: WSANO_DATA Valid name, no data record of requested type. The Q+E ODBC manual talks about a flat file Text driver but I have no idea if they mean that you can write a bunch of statements in a flat file and try running it against the database or what. Do you? Or do I need to use yet another package to get this thing out the door? I know that this sounds a little confusing but that is the situation as best as I can describe it PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT I NEED TO FIND OUT/DO TO GET THIS OUT OF MY HAIR -------------------------------------------------------------------------- INTERNET: abethelm@sol.corp.harris.com PHONE: (407) 724-3259 FAX: (407) 724-3888 Ancil H.
