DBCENTURY has no effect on 4GL. Last we heard Informix are planning to include it late in 1998 (really -- I'm not making this up!) Everything Joel says is right on the money. You (currently) have to go with 4 digit years and hope the users don't key in 2 digit years, or write a date-mangling routine which you call in the AFTER FIELD clause of any date fields. Or not use 4GL for data entry. ------------------------------------,------------------------------------------ Kerry Sainsbury, kerry@kcbbs.gen.nz | THE INFORMIX FAQ v2.5 June 96 Quanta Systems, Auckland | http://www.iiug.org/techinfo/faq/ New Zealand.
