The reason int_flag is not getting set is that the debugger's signal handler is getting invoked, not your normal signal handler. However, whenever I need to interrupt an INPUT or CONSTRUCT while debugging, I press the interrupt key, get pushed into the debugger screen and enter the commands: let int_flag=1 continue This usually drops me back into the INPUT screen. So I press <ESC> to get out of that. Now, when your program comes out of the INPUT statement, it finds int_flag set. Hmm... I just realized your question was merely why this is happening; you did not ask for a solution. Ignore most of the above.. ;-) -- -- Jake Salomon . . _..-'( )`-.._ ./'.
