invalid month in date !!urgent!!

WE have informix 7.12 and 7.3 engine's are there in Unix . and front end we are using Powerbuilder 5.x on window95 and I connect (native driver). Now If set the DBDATE in two environments(windows95/unix) as "dmy4/". and try to insert a row or update a row from powerbuilder data window painter I am getting the error like "invalid month in date".Where as If you insert or update a row from dbadmin painter from powerbuilder or dbaccess from informix it simply inserting or updating the row. The same error is populating from our pb application also. Pls. help me out.. thanks in advance.
