In Win95, make sure you only have version 5.x SQL's DLL is in your path ($INFORMIXDIR/bin). Make sure that you don't have any older or new versions of Windows Sockets in any other directories (Win Sock should be 1.1). If you have network drives map to your Win95 workstaiton, check these directories for old version of DLL and Win Sock. Check port number in your services files (both Win95 and Unix).
