New .4ge Execute Permissions

We are running Informix-4GL version 4.00.UH1 on Ultrix, and we have a problem. .4ge files end up with permissions "rwx------", and we want to give execute permission to everyone. Any ideas on how to do this automatically with just the I-4GL package (I already use a shellscript that runs "i4gl", then "chmod +x *.4ge", but I want something more reliable)? I haven't been able to find any file mask specific to Informix. Thanks.
