Solaris 2.6 & i4gl Serial Number Invalid

after what appears to be a successful install of i4gl, invoking i4gl gives the above error message. Also, the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/fglfiles contains entry for i4gl and it remains "BRAND".. r4gl command works as advertised... informix tech support has no idea..help from anyone with a clue? thanks...chet brion
