Second, if you are using KAIO, please try to use the classic AIO-vp's instead of KAIO. Third, maybe you've got realy bad blocks on your disk. Simply perform a bad block check. Use "cat /dev/informix/fsprod_index_01|wc -c" and look at the number of bytes read. Do the same with the device /dev/informix/fsprod_index_02. Hope this will help. Bye Stefan
