Informix SE 6.02 and ODBC

Is it possible to connect to Informix SE 6.02 on Unix via ODBC or ADO? If so, how? I've downloaded the IBM Informix Client SDK but don't know what port # to use. The services file does not have the sqlexec service listed in it.
