Using JDK1.4 on IDS9.30?

Developers here have written some code using a 1.4 JDK and find it fails against our IDS9.30 (HP-UX11i). Apparently this is going to be an issue, they need to use the 1.4 JDK but IBM say the krakatoa on our engine only supports 1.3 (as set in the onconfig JDKVERSION entry). Does anyone have any clues as to how we can do this? Ta Malc
I assume this is for a UDR. We ran into the same issue in IDS 9.40 which still only supports JDK 1.3 (as of the UC1 release anyway). In our case, the workaround was to convert our UDR code to a Java application running outside the engine. The application could then have its own separate JDK, version 1.4. Our code architecture and the nature of the functionality allowed this with minimal work but this is not necessarily the solution to every problem...
