Answer to question 1:
If you have support you can call in and have tech support drop the
dbspace and
its chunks, if they really aren't important.
Answer to question 2:
If you want to perform a warm restore of a single dbspace (which is
what you
appear to want to do), you MUST backup your logical logs to something
other
then /dev/null. You must perform the logical log part of the restore
for this to
work, or as you've seen, the dbspace is restored, but only partially,
and not
it a usable state.
